Katherine is an experienced policy researcher and technical program manager with expertise in data science, computational social science methods, and education and social policy analysis. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Washington, Seattle. She is a PhD candidate in Education Policy, Organizations, and Leadership and completed a concurrent MPA degree in Social Policy in 2022.

Her research interests are broadly in the politics of education reform and the racial dimensions of education and social policymaking. Current projects include work investigating the intersection between public housing and public education, as well as the active development of an open source Python tool for state legislature data.
